Bio

My own experience has convinced me of the benefits of movement: our bodies are designed to move, and regularly. Finding an activity, like dancing with abandon, that gives you fun means you are more likely to maintain a healthy movement regime.

I have my own physical challenges (I have a Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder), and learning to manage these has taught me the benefits of building strength through therapeutic exercise.

I’m also convinced that finding a connection - with a physio, a coach, or a fellow class participant - hugely boosts your motivation and momentum towards better physical and mental health & wellbeing.

Teaching Pilates and fitness coaching must count as my third career. I finally feel that I’ve found my vocation - but my previous experience definitely informs my approach, in that everything I do is evidence based - I am a bit of a science and research nerd; I work collaboratively - you know your body and your experiences better than anyone else; and I actively embrace the ethos that activity is for everybody and every body - equality, equity, access and acceptance.
